Archi-Tectonics NY/NL cordially invites you to the opening of the Ports 1961 Boutique in Harvey Nichols.

With the new design by Archi-Tectonics, the Ports 1961 Boutique in London is the first of several planned stores.

The walnut plank flooring is developed into a continuous surface that wraps from floor to wall to ceiling, creating the feeling of a catwalk that draws the shopper in, and a backdrop to the display projecting the latest fashion shows

A golden metallic fabric wrapped wall with a custom stitched and padded surface was developed as a shimmering backdrop to the wood surface. Lighting is used to enhance the space’s geometry, with a light cove concealed above the wood plank ceiling that creates a contrasting glow on the adjacent white painted ceilings.

Archi-Tectonics also specified the furnishings and special lighting elements. The final effect is a rich , integrated environment that delivers maximum dramatic impact to a compact space.

The opening will be by invitation only and will take place at the newly designed Ports 1961 Boutique.

Archi-Tectonics is being featured in the exhibit “Contemplating The Void: Interventions in The Guggenheim Museum” now on exhibit from February 12 to April 28th.

Tickets for Contemplating the Void Auction Preview and Reception are on sale through the Guggenheim website. The Auction Preview and Reception will be held at the Guggenheim on Thursday, March 4, 7-9pm.
