We just received the new Floto&Warner photos of the lounge we designed for the Tribeca Grand!and like to share with you Spanish design, a great environments and fantastic drinks>>>> http://salon-espana.butchershopcreative.com/
The space in the Tribeca Grand Hotel was curated by Richard Klein of Surface Magazine. We were invited to design the space and to work with 18 of the best modern Spanish designers and manufacturers. When doing research of their work it struck us that one of the companies, BD Barcelona, represents amazing Dali furniture. Dalí was known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work, as shown below in the The Persistence of Memory, a painting which epitomizes Dalí’s theory of ’softness’ and ‘hardness’, which was central to his thinking at the time. Many also consider that the melting watches were there to symbolize the irrelevance of time, which, in the Tribeca Lounge, is of no relevance either!
